My car was registered in another state as a 1965 so a non-issue to simply do a title transfer and registration in UT.
Dan D. and RJG have good answers; trust them.
From what I can tell, the best way to avoid emmisions checks down the road is to select a true vintage engine as from what I am told, the emmissions follows the engine block.
Having said that, UT still registers in the year completed, not the year it replicates. Sort of a bummer for insurance.
