I've gleaned a few install tips from the audio nuts on another forum:

- With open top cars, it's important to have midrange/high range speakers in front of you as much as possible.

- Jaycar response kevlar splits are good value for the above.

- Run speaker wire down the opposite side of the car to the power wire.

- Audio system grounding wire needs to be the same or larger than the 12v+ supply.

- You will need at least a 10" subwoofer to overcome the bass from the pipes, otherwise don't bother.

No doubt Sideshow and others have a lot more to share - just thought it was timely for your installation Baz.
