I understand the terminology, and use it, it certainly clairifies which period of time were referring to when it comes to build dates and models.
...it's just a little thing that always kind of bothered me, perhaps it has just a sort of classic 'Snake
Oil' ring to it if you think about it to long.
But no question about it, there genuine Shelbys, authorized and approved by the man himself (including of course the completition series).
