We have a spot here that the speed limit drops from 45 to 35 for just 1 intersection. The cross street does not slow. There is no notice that the speed is dropping and the sign is off to the side more than the other signs so it is easy to miss. The cops will sit right there in the parking lots lined up while another runs radar. It is common to see 5-10 cars pulled over on the other side of the intersection. It is such an obvious speed trap that they continuously refute. They claim that it is a dangerous corner, but have no answer as to why the cross street is not dangerous. Both streets are 3 lanes each direction. The cross street drops to 1 lane each direction after it leaves town (1 mile 1 way and 1 1/2 miles the other, while the street with the speed trap stays 3 lanes each direction as it goes into other towns each way with no real seperation any more.
