Thudmaster I changed over to a one-wire alternator as well, and as you have read here that new charging system is not functional with the old charge light circuit. I converted mine to an
oil pressure warning light (comes on if the pressure ever is below 20psi when key is on) but you could use that warning light system for most anything similar - temp alarm, manual fan on, whatever. Just another idea for you, while you are fixing that avatar
