Ross,

Even though the gallery says no size limit that is not correct and should be changed. The best size to post is between 85 to 130KB. As for downsizing them, I use the Microsoft Image Resizer which is great and doesn't mess with your original at all. It takes a couple of seconds to do it. If you are running Windows XP, this tool beats the Photo programs all to pieces. I am not sure if it will run with Vista. I just put then pictures that I want to upload in the My Picture folder, right click and select Image Resizer. You have three choices plus a custom that you can use to get the size you want and as I said, it only makes a copy and doesn't change your original, so you can make as many copies as you want until you get the size you are looking for. Go to the following link which is the Microsoft Power toy page and scroll down near the bottom to Image Resizer. Download it to your desktop and then just double click it to install. It takes about 2 seconds and is a small program. Then when you right click on a picture you will see it listed in the drop down menu. If you are using BMP pictures, change them to Jpg as that will also reduce the size a lot.
