There isn't much about Los Angles or San Francisco that isn't considered normal by them. That is why so many movies have scenes in them from those places. They don't have to pay actors as the people are so strange they fit right in. In one of the Star Trek Movies, Lenord Nemoy said he had never seen a city like San Francisco and they kept all the scenes they shot there in the movie because the people were better than their actors. I was down on Market Street one day and it was nice and here comes this nice looking young lady with a long coat on. I wondered why she would be wearing a light coat on a warm day like that. When she walked up and was standing beside me waiting for the light to change, I just happened to notice the coat was not buttoned and was open down the front and that she was buck naked under it. Darn woman caused me to stand there through three lights.
