Sounds like a fun event. I planned to go and got about half way. The car had been sitting for a long time and it took a while to get it started. The battery was about dead when it finally started. I took off and the car ran fine but I needed to get gas and so I stopped after about 25 miles. The car wouldn't start and very quickly the battery was dead. I got my wife to bring jumper cables but it still wouldn't start. After fooling around with it for about 1.5 hours and trying to start it numerous times it finally started. Drove home and it ran fine. I assume the gas was just stale and it took a while to get fresh gas to the carburetor. Oh well, I'll try to make one of the future events.
