It would be helpful for Steve (and all here) if you kept and posted a log on CC of your progress through the NYS VIN and registration process (actually 2 separate processes).
If it would be helpful for me to pull some of my old registration notes out, let me know and I will look for them (we've moved since I originally registered the SPF, and they are still packed away - somewhere).
I drive the SPF to work most every day (except when it snows, although once in awhile it snows when I am at work - now THAT'S Cobra excitement most folks here haven't experienced!!!).
