Default TKO500 or TKO600 trans???
I am running a 351 Cleveland with about 450HP and ??torque. Have now a 4 spd Ford top loader. I am looking at changing to either a TKO500 or a TKO 600. Does anyone know the difference in life-span with these approximate power readings? We drive mostly on the road and an occasionly slalom. No stop light Grand Prix starts or racing involved. I love to drive it but I do not beat it up. I just blow off smart-assed Mustangs! I only ask because I only want to do this changeover ONCE!!
Also, do either of these trannies have external or internal clutch hydralics?
