With a few mods you could use E85. It appears that this will be the cheap race fuel of the future. Some big advantages to going to E85 is you can run lots of compression. You should also be able to buy it anywhere in the near future.
Disadvantages are that you will need to remove all rubber from the fuel system. You will also get worse fuel mileage. Almost all the carb shops are making E85 compatible carbs now.
