Many historical documents are limited in their access for various reasons, doesn't mean anyone is hordeing them. Their value, their fragile nature, the possibility of theft. Sometimes a compelling reason for access (research) is required. There are many reasons to restrict or limit access to such documents.

Do you, Joewillie, have a compelling reason as to why you should be granted access? The attic documents are a very small part of the data collected over the years. Would you like access to ALL the documents SAAC has in it's possession or are they specific documents you would like access to? As you mentioned, some documents will NOT be available to just anyone as they contain highly personal information. Perhaps you could be more specific as to which documents you think should be made public?

By the way, have you received any 'gifts' over the years? Perhaps you should return them if the 'giver' of such gifts should ask for them back, or maybe not, I don't know, I guess you could take the matter up with the courts and let them decide who the real and current owner is.
