Nearly all the cities and towns in this area are in trouble. Yesterday this city announced they want to add
ANOTHER surcharge to our property taxes so they can buy new Fire trucks and equipment. A few years ago the dam crooks sold all the Equipment they had to repair the streets with and this street where I live was last paved in 1970. None of the money they get ever goes anywhere but into their pockets. They are starting to drive people out of their homes with property tax surcharges now as many of the people here are retired and on fixed incomes. And that 2.3% cost of living increase was a joke. Our utility rates alone went up that much in the past year.
