unless things change course, I believe this will be the 'end' of society as it was intended. History repeats itself and how foolish it would be for us to think we were immune from human nature.
I think one thing which is unprecedented, in a historical sense, is how society is nearly defined globally. Societies and world powers have come and gone with what would be, generally, local consequences. We are on that same timeline. It now seems as though, as business and trade are defined by global reaction, we, society, is at a teetering point.
Tolerance of the intolerant. This pervasive cyclical logic is where democracy has gone.
Although tragic events should stir the moral consciousness, we should be enraged that the people at the helm of our society, like Bernake would suggest the idiotic idea lenders should reduce principal amounts to avoid foreclosure.
yes, I honestly think it will get a lot worse.
