Not Ranked
For the recreational vehicles, the gas price is not influencing the limited driving mileage, especially when the North East driving season is approx April 1 to Nov 1.
Daily driver being a 4 cyl Honda, still no impact, but I attempt to plan my local trips better.
Regarding the gas prices in CT:
CT AAA statewide average Gas Price Survey 3/8:
3.311 Regular
3.594 Mid Grade
3.688 Premium
3/8 price at COSTCO
87 @ 3.119
93 @ 3.319
COSTCO price is in North Central CT , at the wholesale level to the gas retailer, zone pricing is used. CT has a Gross Receipts Earnings Tax which is a % of the delivered price at the Distributors tanks, as the distributors cost increases, corresponding increase in the tax
For comparison, the state gas tax per gallon in the NorthEast:
CT: 44.6
NY: 40.1
RI: 31.0
ME: 26.1
MA: 23.5
NH: 20.6
VT: 20.0
NJ: 14.5
An explanation for the CT Tax the politicians use, there are no toll roads.
