Vincent, I live in Pittsburgh and they made me have wipers and defrosters. I have a $30 fix that got me past the defrosters. They won't let you use a dash mount electric defroster. I bought 2 -12 volt hair dryers connected 2 inch duct to the defroster ducts from A&C and they work great. They do pull a few amps but I hardly ever will use them. Mike
