I think what you're doing will work fine but I'm not sure you'll notice alot of difference. Rubber bushings are mostly upgraded to urethane these days. I would make sure all the joints are in good shape and you have a good alignment that takes bump steer in to account. That Jag suspension has nice geometry when set up correctly.
