Fran has indicated tall folks can fit in there fine. I Dean Lampe with a Mk1 is pretty tall, so I know it's possible. They are NOT big cars by any stretch.
There is plenty of foot room, and depending on seat position, you can lay back quite a ways I think. Just need to make sure you like your passenger!
