I think there may be a problem that's best cured by addressing it, rather than covering it up with a shock
Bump steer can be caused by many things, so rather than guess I'd suggest getting in touch with Reg and getting to the root of the problem!
You shouldn't be experiencing bump steer with an unbent, properly assembled and aligned BMW front suspension.
