I was stoped by a rooky cop a few years ago, in fact I was just leaving a cruise in! He stopped me for a non compliant side exhaust system which requires an inspection sticker to be displayed on the rear bumper. I didn't have such inspection sticker. I informed him I DIDN'T NEED ONE because the original Cobras came with side exhaust. He scratched his head and walked off.

Modifications to your CAR (20" wheels and/or suspension lift kits for instance) require a special inspection AND STICKER. There are no engine mod rules here, no smog check either.

I've never heard of anyone getting a ticket for a 'modified' replica Cobra here on Club Cobra. I don't think it's an issue, as Jamo all ready stated in so many words.

From time to time we have some 'show off' burn rubber or whatever either entering or leaving one of our local cruise in's. Who ever it is (and it HAS BEEN Cobras at times in the past) gets an earful and a good chewing out. It is NOT cool, it is NOT tolerated, the 'community' WILL kick your ass if you don't get it. We don't like the heat, we police ourselves.
