well I found the 'put in a safe place' roll of film today.... emailed customer service at Kodak and got a good reply (quick, too!) will see if their contact has any ideas.
thanks also for the info Steve 1 and Steve 2 (nice to meet you in Austin, btw) and will chase down these leads. Found the film while looking for something else, of course!!!
