Default Larger diameter lifters

We have used the .903 and .930 diameter lifters in our race FE engines. We use Jesel lifters in most of these cases but they are a little pricey for a street engine at 2200.00 dollars. The main thing to look at is the spring pressure, lift and rpm of the engine. There are several different quality .875 lifters out there that work well up to about 300lbs on the seat and 800 open. We started see problems when we went to 400 lbs on the seat and 1000 lbs open on some of the 2000HP blower and turbo engines we were doing. The regular .875 lifter would only live about 20 to 25 passes. Like evrything else durability and quality come with a price. Good luck, Keith Craft
