We actually tried to modify the head gaskets in
just the way I bet you were thinking about when we did our first 351 build-up. Before heading to the trusty "How to rebuild the Smallblock Ford" book, we determined that the gaskets were
not meant to be modified, simply by virtue of how hard it was to cut them!
