Also, jumping out of race cars just before impact can be helpful. Back in the day a driver named Masten Gregory used to do this. My parents were at either Goodwood or Silverstone and he did this right in front of the bleachers they were sitting in. Just before the car wrecked, he jumped out! landed in the bleachers and dusted himself off LOL
