It started out as just getting some stuff touched up and quickly escalated to having the entire car stripped, block sanded, the doors, trunk lid and hood realigned, all new emblems, etc.

The base cause was that the paint originally used is no longer legal in CA, and impossilbe to match.

I tried all the off-the-shelf yellows available and didn't like any, including the current SPF formula. So, the side benefit of all this is that after a day and a half of trying out custom mixes, we came up with one that makes my car even "yellower" than before.
