1. 5/16 Hex shafting material, cut to length so it extends approximately as high as the body of the distributor (if it were installed). Then attach a variable speed reversable or a cordless drill tightly.

OR

2. If you have an old FE distributor you can remove the base plate inside that the points are attached to and remove the cam that the points rub on and then the fly weights, leaving the central shaft that the drill can be attached to, then remove the cam gear and have at it.
