Wazza nice looking seats and good to hear it's not just the GF struggling for fit, however I also cut and narrowed my MX5 seats by 50mm to help with the fit.
This makes them a tad smaller to sit on and helps to hold the body movement that little bit more but achieves a very small foot print, something around 400mm width if I remember rightly.
And yes too sorry Marty for the Hi-Jack!
