When you say it would not fit are you talking about just barely not fitting or not fitting by a country mile?
There are two bolt patterns. Maybe they sent you the wrong one by mistake. I replaced a front wheel on my 700 series SPF with a new one from Trigo. The new wheel would not go on the pins set up for the old wheel. Did you get the pin alignment tool too? I would set the pins so the pin alignment tool worked smoothly but the wheel would not go on the car. It took a few tries but it eventually worked. Others have stated that a well placed whack on the pin in the direction needed works. I did not have to resort to that. Hope this helps. Good luck.
