On my FFR Spec Racer that was also street legal. I marked where the stock windshield rubber met the fiberglass body. I then positioned my rivet nuts into the fiberglass area that was covered by the windshield rubber. All but one of the rivet nuts was covered up when the stock windshield was installed. My car was white and I covered the one exposed rivet nut with a small piece of white vinyl tape when the stock windshield was installed. You couldn't see the rivet nut unless you looked very closely.
