Gordon,

I upgraded about a year ago to the top tier of 6 MBPS but never had any problems at all with the lower speeds when I had them. I was just over on the Gashole site reading about Pats birthday and looking at the great picture on the last page of the thread.
Open your IE and see what you have for the home page URL. I have http://sbc.yahoo.com. Once I get to the home page which I have set up with mostly news modules and such, I have all the sites in my favorites list and all I have to do is clink on whichever one I want to go to once and it takes me there. Also if you think your home page may be messed up, try changing it in IE to any site that you go to.
I am guessing that you probably have IE 6. And have you tried cleaning all temp. Internet files. cookies, history, and emptying the Prefetch folder? I have seen some problems caused by the prefetch file getting garbaged and just deleted them all. That will slow you down just a tad, but it will put back the files as you go to any sites or use any programs, and everything will be back to normal. You might also try going to the advanced page of the IE pages when you open it and set everything to default.

Ron
