A great way to spend several days, looking, listening and eating brats! The atmosphere is relaxed. You're welcome to peer, talk with the owners and drivers and be a part of the event. I go every other year, alternating with the SOVERN event at Kent Washington next week.

Last year I lent a hand working on the GT40 campaigned by the Shelby Museum. The racing is not competitive, in keeping with an event that brings vintage cars back to the setting of the accomplishments that spark our interest. As with any vintage event, if you haven't a feel for the past the track time will not excite you. Watching Bill Murray hustle an ageing 65 Cobra ahead of a 71 Vette brought back emotions that would be eccentric save for a rivalry now thirty-seven years past. If that doesn't stir your interest look for something else.

A beautiful car, precisely assembled. Unfortunately I don't fit. Sold it after four hundred miles. Well, at least now I know a Cobra is not a car I can own.
