I have a FIA car with a 302 block fitted with an Air Gap manifold and Holley 4150 HP carb. I tried a K&N X Stream (#66-3010) air filter ( 3" filter, 4 5/8" total height) with a 1 inch carb spacer.. I didn't have to put the hood on to see that it was too high.. I think the air filter will fit without a carb spacer but.. I want to use at least a 1/2" carb spacer.. K&N has a 7/8" drop assembly with a total height of 3 1/8" but will that hit the vaccum secondaries? Any recommendations? Thanks.
