You are right of course Beejay.... and that's part of the reason photographs are being taken so even your average "side of the road" DOT or RTA inspector can pull them up at his leisure to check for modifications.
Regarding the brake test....I have no objection to the test being done at sane speeds and by some-one who will take the responsibility if some-thing goes wrong.
Regarding noise.....I question a standard which had it's origin in exhaust noise and has now gotten so tight that now we have to address induction noise and mechanical noise. It is getting that way that even a sneaky "passing wind"

if heard by these microphones will be illegal.
My concerns are further magnified when certain "interest groups" have favorable attention...ie..Harleys, trikes, trucks,railway etc.. To me....noise is noise.
