Chassis down under need to pass a torsion and beaming test to check the rigidity of the chassis. I think it's 6000Newton Meters per degree of chassis twist. Someone here will probably have the right numbers and detail on how the test is done. It's basically bolting the chassis to a fixture and attaching a big lever to it and piling weight on the end whilst measuring the deflection.
There are some other factors to take into acount. It would be best if the suspension components were sourced from a donor vehicle. Fabricated components usually need an engineer to go over them and determine if they are fit for the purpose intended.
Intrusion bars in the doors are manditory and must be af a sturdy construction. Burst proof latches, seat belt mountings etc. Replica cars down here are registered as a new car so must meet the current Australian Design Rules. It's a real can of worms that we all have to chew through to get our cars on the road.
