A lot of the gas here in Arizona has a percentage of ethanol in it and causes problems in some vehicles with regards to excessive vapor locking issues. After much expense and detective work, switching to Chevron gas solved the problem. I didn't believe it but switching back to the "off brands" with the ethanol additive..vapor locking issues returned. I have a Jeep wrangler and this only occurs in the summer when they mix the gas.
