I am running two red top OPTIMA 6 volt batteries in my Shelby. Purchased them in 2004. They are still going strong. Of course the temps in Fresno never really get below freezing very often. So the battery does not go through major temp changes however it does get way above 100 degrees and the Cobra only has 4000 miles in the past four years.
