If you have Edelbrock heads on your FE you may get smokey exhaust. Just heard from a great engine builder that the valve guides are to large. You may need to disassemble Intake valves and press in new guides. Aluminum block had only 50 miles on it. Going to the dyno shop soon, but all that was done on head was lapping. New gaskets were installed then we heard the news. Cross your fingers. Alot of labor for a new manufactured component. Never had a problem like this from them in 20 years. Hoping just a manufacturing problem. One or two bad ones I hope. If you have similar issues, post it please. This is how we all save customer headaches and our own craziness. Also, gasket quality is a must! Cometic head gaskets, Fel-Pro high performance gaskets, and Clevite High performance bearings. Good Luck
