I mounted the upper part of the tank (its reversible) towards the center and used the stock motor mounts supplied by LS. Yea, I was hoping Earl would chime in earlier with a measurement on his. I'd hate to assume it's the same. I'm also very aware of Dove's casting porosity issues and had asked if it had been pressure tested. I could probably deal with the offset outlet but getting a second hand tank that may or may not leak is one variable I can't opt for. I'd have no recourse if it did leak. I'd heard of one new Dove tank that water seeped out almost as fast as you could pour it in.
