Hi, Brent.

The bore is a sissy +030. (This results form a hi-rev dream of 90000+rpm which by the way I had to give up with the stroker kit in...).

The problem with the standard 302W gaskets are the stepped outer (exhaust side) edge which gives a 1,5-2 mm edge covering the water holes and the silicone strings around the outer bolt-holes which do not cover the water holes.
(I tried to run a very small bead of sislicone arond the holes, which had dried before I bolted the heads on)

This gave water leak around two of the bolts at both cylinder banks.

A good thing was that the leakage was discovered before I fired the engine, so no tear- down was neccesary.

The SVO gaskets are not stepped and have silicone- strings that cover the water holes in the block. I use the "small bore" Fel-Pro gaskets, part number FPP-1021. And no; they don't leak!
