I don't know if this is true, considering the source, but hope that none of the people in the area wherever it hit were injured. Also it would be great if it has diminished in force. Anyone in that area that can posy some updates as to just what is actually happening?

Ron;

I use MSN.com as my homepage and they have a lot of udates and info........try them......

I'm about halfway up the state north/south and all the way on the east side, right in the L of the "boot"......It's about 10:30 am today and just getting "breezy" right now, little to no rain, yet, forecast for me is about 10 to 15 inches of rain and 50 mph sustained winds and possible gusts to 75mph, not that good, but could be worse.......it should hit me around dark today and last thru the night....

New Orleans is getting a lot of rain right now and they are worried about one levee, seems there are 3 ships that broke loose and are banging against a levee..............

Most folks were evacuated south of I-10 and that is the good news, I guess they learned a lesson from Katrina.......

Nagan ain't messing around this time either, told everyone to get out, if you don't, your own your own, ain't nobody coming to save your a$$........National Guard and state police have been down there for three or four days now and they have a dusk to dawn curfew......looters will be shot on sight!!!!!!!!!!that's the best news.......

As you can see I still have electricity here and hope we don't go without power too long.......since Katrina, a lot of progress has been made in clearing highline right-of-ways of trees to cut down on downed power lines......

Not too much else going on, been piddling in my shop most of the morning, can only watch the updates for soo long............
