Default Boxed rear lower control arm

I have read several explanations on boxing in the rear lower control arms but was wondering if anyone has photo's or a diagram. Also, I am concerned about the fact that the sway bar slids up inside the control arm. Should I weld a plate to the bottom like I see on some of the after market control arms to bolt the sway bar to.
