Question

I am not sure about the accuracy of some of the things I have been seeing and hearing, but it seems that many people were just downright fortunate as , in the words of one of the rescue commanders, they had prepared for worst case scenario in some of those places and it wasn't as bad as they had feared. That is good news. They did show lots of trees and other damage, but I was surprised at the houses that stood up. However, they said some of them may not be live able after everything is cleaned up and they are inspected.

My cousin and his wife left yesterday for a long vacation, heading West, so they will get to miss the heavy rain that is supposed to fall in their area from this storm. He said they already have had over two years of normal rainfall there this year and all of the lakes are as full as they can hold.
