Rather than opinions, why not let the use determine which way you go? Do you do more highway/freeway driving over long distances where the higher ration would serve better? Do you do mostly around town driving where the lower ratio would serve better? They both work well. I have a 428FE with a 3.56 rear end and a TKO with the .64 to serve on road trips out of the heat of the valley. I love it. If I keep the speedo between 65 and 70, I can get 15.5MPG. That's pretty impressive for a car that gets 10 MPG around town.
