I have seen racing windscreens in pictures and wonder who has a clever idea how to make a base plate to attach it to the body. I have a full width, half high perspex (or polycarbonate) in mind.

Fabricating an aluminium base is quite labor intensive. Has anybody used a rubber strip to fasten it to the body?
