Thanks Mike.

Yes I was beginning to think I was going to have to remove the body or take the tranny off the engine. Both which I wasnt keen on, since I only put the tranny back on.

My heart skipped a few beats when I went to put the tail shaft on as I couldnt get the yoke horizontal to slide in. A bit of jiggering around and I found that once I poked the other end up and past the diff flange I could get the shaft back far enough to get the yoke horizontal and in it went.

The standard engine mounts all seemed to fit ok as well, even using the Commodore drivers side mount rather than the Chevvy one. The Engine mounting flanges on the CR2008 have slots in them now (I dont think the old chassis did) so you can adjust sideways if you need.

The rear transmission mount is a block of wood at present - I have a Mackay A1115 (a.k.a. Commodore VB-VK Transmission mount arriving later in the week).

Mike I need to ask you a couple of questions about Exhaust Manifolds - I'll PM you later.

Rgds

Gregg
