I could not agree more.
Alot of this may be old news and terribly obvious to some of you old timers, but
as a new guy I need all the info I can get.
I've declared war on sh!tty customer service, and I've invested the energy it takes to get results from comapnies that just ignore problems.
I love breaking it down in simple pieces so the customer torture reps can understand.
"Here's the product you sell...
Here's what I received....
See the difference?"
"Here's the price you quoted....
Here's what it has actually cost me so far....
See the difference?"
"Here's what your people told me....
Here's what I found out on my own....
See the difference?"
"Here's what I wanted when I decided to spend my money with your company...
Here's the results I get from you and nobody seems to give a damn....
See the difference?"
"THIS is how I act when I get screwed out of money, in ANY amount.
I expect to get what I ordered even if it's only 5 bucks at Taco Bell.
I'm not leaving without satisfaction.
NOW do you understand?"
I advocate taking any action needed in these cases.
I always state my case calmly and allow them the chance to get it right.
If that fails, I turn up the heat and never quit.
I've yet to resort to legal action, but I've ruined many a manager's day.
