You mentioned Portland - certainly a beautiful track with vistas of Mt. Hood and St. Helens. It's got a great layout to boot.

I'm curious as to the noise restrictions on club or open track events, When Trans-Am and ALMS ran there in August, TA had a db limit of 106. Zero tolerance. If you had a reading of 106.1 - black flag until it was corrected - even during the race! Fortunately, only the Viper had a problem in practice; everybody did their homework and some of the exhaust routing and exits were, well, creative to say the least!
