I'd treat them with even more care than a normal cast carburettor.

So don't soak them in a carb cleaning solution, spray through the circuits with some carb cleaner and inside the float bowl area, blow through with compressed air, reassemble the carbs in the normal manner, then repolish the outside with a soft cloth to bring back the shine.
