If the Obama plan were applied to Cobra ownership, we that already have a car would be assessed a tax on related purchases and that tax money after being filtered through the bureaucracy would be distributed to those wanting to buy one. The result would be several new government jobs and the price of the kits/cars would go up. Additionally, as the price went up we would hire brokers who would artificially inflate the price (what the heck the govt is subsidizing the purchases) to increase their commission. Ultimately though the cobra market would crash because true prices would be finally realized, owners would default on their loans and finally it would require a huge government bailout to keep the cobra market viable. To prevent this all from happening, I'm voting for McCain.
