Well I've just got back from the Deatailing clinic at Final Inspection in Brunswick...what an eye opener.Damien started the evening with a sit down dinner ..the god damn biggest burger
I've ever had and drinks,a chance to get to now everyone.
Then we sat down in his work area(surgery)...and watched him take to a Mettalic Black Ferrari with sand paper to do what he called paint correction to remove a scratch on a front guard....30 mins later and she looked like new though he said he still wasn't happy and needed to do a bit more before he'd be happy.
The rest of the evening involved QA's on all facets of detailing to enable us plebs to look after our cars between major details...as i said a bloody big eye opener when you hear about whats in the different products and the resulting damage from both products and process....he in no way canned any one product or pushed his, he offered solutions to detailing using what is out there and we all walked out of there enlightened....
Just quickly only ever use MICROFIBRE for all processes....chuck your Chamois and buy a Good WaffleWeave cloth to dry off ....loads more!!!
And for those just about to paint your car he HIGHLY recommends you chuck you painter a can of good CANOUBA WAX and put it on before it even leaves the shop...Conouba Breathes so it will allow you paint to do what it has to post painting....
anyway a great nite had by all 25 car enthusiasts!!
